1. A sentence that makes a statement or assertion is called a "Declarative" or "Assertive" Sentence.
Ex: Humpty was playing cricket.
raju running fast.
2. A Sentence that asks a question is called "Interrogative Sentence"
Ex: Where do you live?
What are you doing ?
3. A Sentence that express a command or an entreaty is called an "Imperative Sentence"
Ex: Be quiet, Stand up, Please give.
Stand up on the bence.
4. A Sentence that express strong fellings is called an "Exclamatory Sentence"
Ex: How cold the night is !
